Patrick Propst - Lead Pastor, Faith Community Church

Patrick Propst - Lead Pastor

I grew up in DeSoto, Missouri.  I studied at Anderson University where I met my “smokin’ hot wife” Kami, our freshman year in college.  After an interesting courtship, we got married right out of college and moved to Dayton, Ohio for our first full-time Student Ministry position.  After three years in Dayton, we had Jada, our daughter.  Two months after Jada was born, I was offered a position as Student Ministry Pastor with Faith Community.  At the time Faith was only six years old, they had moved into their building about a year earlier, and they were in search of finding their place in the community.   There were a number of exciting possibilities for us and Faith Community, so we jumped at the opportunity.

Over the next couple of years of service to the church and community, we added a couple more members to the Propst tribe, our second son Asher, and about 20 months later our third, Hines.  Over the last seven plus years we have seen the church grow into its identity.  I admit I have never heard, or seen, or been a part of a church that is anything similar to Faith Community, and I LOVE IT!!!

In August of 2011, the time came for the Senior Pastor, a good friend, and mentor, Al Hazen, to retire from ministry and pursue other ventures.  We had the opportunity to celebrate the ministry and friendship that Al had provided since the inception of the church, by rewarding him with the title of Pastor Emeritus.  The Elder board offered the position of Lead Pastor to me, and I accepted the role and responsibilities.  The new position, and transition that we have entered into at Faith is very exciting.  It makes me nervous, it humbles me, it fires me up, and so much more.  I don’t know what’s next or in store for us.  But I’m ready for the challenge, and the journey that lies ahead.

Here we go…
