When our building was being built, we made the choice not to put in a baptistry. We are a church that practices a believers baptism, so to solve the problem we started to baptize the “old fashioned” way: outside in a body of water. More specifically at Morse Lake. With the baptism comes a special celebration for those being baptized where we have a small service where those being baptized share their story and God’s story. We also share some special readings, and the singing of praises. We have an old-fashioned carry-in dinner and a burger bash at the South Harbour Clubhouse. We enjoy each others’ company while the kids swim in the lake.
